A "Facebook lottery" promising prize coins of $7.5 million has scammed almost 30 Queenslanders out of hundreds of lots of dollars, police say.
Queensland Police provider said the current version of the scam includes the sufferer being sent a very realistic searching FB-branded credit rating card.
It begins while the sufferer is contacted on their FB account by means of the usage of someone claiming to be a worker of Facebook advising they have obtained the $7.five million prize inside the "FB Lottery".
